We met a man near the Altomare TV and Radio Store in Rogliano. He lived across the street. His wife's maiden name was Altomare - she grew up in the country outside of Rogliano. She came down to greet us and offered us some of this fruit. We graciously tasted it but it was loaded w/seeds....they said you eat the seeds....Her brother also came out to visit. We asked them to look at the records we brought but none of them could read (not Italian or English).
